2015 FALL HIGH POINT MARKET: GREAT SHOWROOM MOMENTS

When it comes to High Point Market, there are always exciting collection launches. The blockbuster launch this market was Kate Spade New York for EJ Victor. It was beautifully realized, completely on-brand and the scale just right, especially for urban dwellers. There were a lot of other great pieces to be found along with emerging and established trends. Glamour is back- from brass accents to swivel chairs, mixed materials, and exposed wood and metallics, done in a more polished, refined way. If you are interested at an in-depth look at the important trends, materials. colors and inspiration I saw at High Point Market, reach out to me here about ordering my trend report. Ahead, a few of the best showroom styling and collection moments.

The color-filled rooms filled with Kate Spade NY's brand of effervescent chic. The collection included mid-century modern inflected pieces and traditional upholstery with ladylike attributes.

Thomas O'Brien has found a new home with Century Furniture. His brand of classically-inspired, pared-down warm modernism is on display with hundreds of collection pieces. Employing a neutral, textural upholstery story, there was sensory overload in room after room.

It was great to experience Kelly Wearstler's artful magic and see her rooms at EJ Victor, styled with her rough luxe flair. The variety of materials, from gilt finishes and burnished bronze to marble and cerused oak provided a textural feast for the eyes.  Ever mindful of the big picture, the art coordinated with the palette.

Phoebe Howard went more modern in her dramatic entry with black and white marble floors at Sherrill for her Mr. and Mrs. Howard furniture collection. Just look at the details on that console which was influenced by a major antique.

Thom Filicia designed this handsome new sofa and triangular coffee tables for his line with Vanguard. He used grey and cream textured and subtle patterns on his streamlined upholstery.

If you want color and a dose of fun, head to CR Laine, it will not disappoint. They do great classic shapes and Holly Blaylock always style it up with bold on-trend prints and patterns in their space. I love this Layla daybed, it is ready for guests with a cushion sized to fit twin sheets.

Show me faux bois and there's a good chance I will adore it. This new console table with marble top from Modern History hits all the right notes.

Gold? Check. Swivel. Check. Time to get glam at Bernhardt, where they have been embracing brass and lucite and taking their vintage inspired designs to new heights.
