STYLEBEAT GIFT GUIDE: THE 15 BEST COZY THINGS TO GIVE AND GET THIS HOLIDAY

It's (almost) the most wonderful time of the year! I love doing gift guides, and to kick things off this year, let's get things started with the cozy list. Whether you are hibernating indoors or taking to the bustling city sidewalks this winter, these gifts have you covered. From luxurious goodies to approachable stocking stuffers, here are the presents to give and to get when comfort is top of mind.

I love a good pom pom hat. I am very particular about them, and prefer that they have a wide band at the bottom, but this wool blend version will do, because the stars make it so fun. Club Monaco makes it and it comes with matching gloves if you want to go all in.

Funnel neck is the way to go. If you want to feel like you walked out the door in your duvet, this Herno coast is the closest thing to actually doing that.

Because Alessandro Michele the creative director of Gucci is a genius and I'd like to own something zany from this season's standout home and ready to wear collections.

These super cool socks from Kule sum it up.

If you've seen me running around on the weekends, I am probably wearing these. I first wrote about the phenomenon of wool Allbirds sneakers in last year's gift guide (here) when they had only one sneaker style. Well, comfortable feet are now possible in more than lace ups, since they launched this new lounger style back in April. This brand is a direct to consumer darling, and you can visit their new New York concept store on Crosby Street to get the full brand experience, shop exclusive colors, and try them out on a life-sized hamster wheel.

And there are now Smallbirds for tiny tots. This may be one of the cutest things I've ever seen.

This throw wins. Chunky, chic and cozy. Done. Find it at Serena & Lily.

Why go out when you can stay in and wear these? Cozy super soft Pajamas from Lake come in candy cane stripes.  The brand just debuted a collaboration with textile designer Rebecca Atwood, and those designs are great too.

Because sports injuries can be a real setback, a hot water bottle is a great thing to have on hand in the winter months. When it is as good looking as this version from Sleepy Jones, everybody wins.

Cocooning and hygge wouldn't be the same without a wonderful fragrance wafting though the air. This season, the luxe candle company, Diptyque has partnered with French graffiti artist Philippe Beaudelocque who has created the packaging with cosmic animals, his specialty, for a special collection of celestially inspired scents. The Dragon is shown here.

Embrace your inner maximalist or warm up someone who does with this patchwork Alexander McQueen cape of wool and silk with medieval patterns.

Have a jetsetter to buy for? Look no further than this cheeky cashmere travel set complete with blanket and eye mask from Barneys. Because planes are always freezing.

Staying in? A sheet mask or exfoliator are good for self care Saturday when it's freezing out. I like French Girl Lip Polish at Anthropologie.

In the winter, I switch from iced to hot tea, with mint being my preference. Tea has all these amazing polyphenols that I know are good for me, so I should drink more of it. The tea making experience should be a relaxing ritual involving the proper accoutrements to do the job right. This beautiful British copper tea kettle by Newey & Bloomer through Williams-Sonoma is a show stopper you will want to leave out on the stove, so a quick cuppa is always in reach.

Last year, this classic hiking boot from J. Crew sold out in no time flat. Don't let that happen again!! The fleece is warm and the price is appealing.

Dogs bring so much joy they make everyday feel like Christmas. If your pup needs a pretty new perch, this is it. Serena & Lily's rattan dog bed will look just as with your living room design scheme as it will in the kitchen.

With an internal rechargeable battery, this LED lantern is a true thing of beauty-- it will last a long time and is designed in minimalist perfection. Made in Denmark by Norm, where long, dark winters are standard, the modern design orb light emits a soft glow and is portable, making it great for indoor or outdoor use (it is not waterproof). Find it at Kaufmann Mercantile
