As the flower begin buds pop each New York spring, I eagerly anticipate the Kips Bay Designer Showhouse announcement, to see which interior designers have been tapped to design rooms for one of the most admired and respected showhouses of the year. The following 22 designers and architects will be hard at work crafting exemplary spaces to showcase their design talent and style, stretching their collective design muscles. Those participating in this year’s Kips Bay Decorator Show House  will soon begin to transform the five-floor, 9,600 square-foot Arthur Sachs Mansion, a townhouse at 58 East 66th Street, preparing it for its big reveal on May 14th. The esteemed New York City Showhouse celebrates 43 years of great design, bringing together top talent selected by the design committee led by the inimitable design leader, Bunny Williams. Benefitting The Kips Bay Boys and Girls Club and its youth programs, now in its 100th year, the designer-created spaces feel at home in an historic townhouse on Manhattan's Upper East Side. This year, sponsors include Architectural Digest, Hearst Design Group, Kohler, Farrow & Ball, Kravet, Dacor, Housepad, Elizabeth Bradley Home, Silestone, AKDO, 1st dibs, the New York Design Center, Christopher Guy and The Shade Store.
