I get asked about barstools all the time. Besides the best paint color for a space, barstools rank a close second, pretty high on the list of "where can I find...." questions I get asked. Both my sister and mother were doing projects recently that required standout bar stools, and I gave them a list of appropriate options. But they were either too tropical looking or not comfortable. So when I was scanning the new spring offering from Serena and Lily, these boldly colored bar stools with the same incredible 19th Century Thonet design and quality captured my attention. Made by Fameg, a Polish company, the stools are made with a similar bent-wood style and technology behind it as the original Viennese ones were. Hand crafted out of Beech Wood and painted in signature Serena and Lily brights, the low backed Brasserie and Counter Stools have a foot rest and round seat, making them not only chic to look at but comfortable to sit in. An all-around win win situation. Lingering over coffee in the kitchen just got even more appealing.

Red is my color, so I would be inclined to go for this lollipop red

A cool shade of aqua blue for the coastal dwellers

And black, for all the New Yorkers
