When vintage designs go iconic, it is hard to crave anything but the original. But when you find a re-imagined version of that piece it is worth considering, give it a second look. Take, for example the Ibex Coffee Table. Designed in the 1970's by Maison Jansen, this table is covet-worthy. A well-done example of this glass-topped table supported by curved horns of two brass rams comes from John Lyle. It possesses that same lightness and sculptural quality of the original, and is made of hefty polished hand-cast brass. There are so few of the 1970's designs in circulation, this facsimile will provide a similar look and feel to the double ram table of disco days past. You can find it at David Sutherland in Miami, Houston, Chicago and LA and at Holly Hunt in New York.
