I spent time visiting with Lana at Belfair last summer. We are sitting in the stadium seating chair area.

The design industry lost one of it's great artisans recently. Lana Lawrence, half of Anthony Lawrence-Belfair, the inspired, creative and forward thinking brains behind many of the great window treatments and upholstery in the finest interiors in the country, lost her struggle with cancer.  Her collaborative, supportive nature led her to create BITT, Bring it to the Table, a networking group of design industry women. She dedicated her time to planning and growing the group, all while creating the most beautiful hand crafted designs for custom window treatments. From panels and valances to pleating and shirring, no detail was overlooked in Lana's refined designs. As part of Anthony Lawrence-Belfair, she steered the ship of artisans, in addition to creating an expanded design showroom of assorted custom vendors to accompany the upholstery workroom.
I will miss running into Lana at industry events like Kips Bay, her brightness,  wonderful personality and optimism. Lana's talent for bringing great people together to network, forge new relationships, and share ideas will be sorely missed. Please join Lana's family and friends to remember her, this coming August 14th and 15th, the details are below.

A bit about BITT:
Started by Vice President of one of the best upholstery and drapery workrooms, Anthony Lawrence-Belfair, Lana Lawrence wanted to create a community for women in design. BITT means Bring it To The Table, and is a round table of voices from all areas of interiors. It is a networking group for women in the interior design industry -- a community of professional women working in the interior design field. Meetings are held the last Tuesday of the month with goal of networking, sharing ideas, collaborating, and having your voice heard.
