THE PERFECT WATERPROOF CANVAS AND LEATHER WEEKEND GETAWAY BAG

When it comes to a bag that can handle weekends away, I have found a chic new luggage brand in the direct to consumer space. The new company called Paravel was started by a former Vogue editor, Indre Rockefeller, and  Andy Krantz who make their luggage and travel accessories out of durable Italian cotton coated canvas with colorful leather accents.  Working with the direct to consumer model a la Everlane or Warby Parker, they can keep their prices low. They make a wide range of super stylish luggage and pouches, but this piece, the Grand Tour duffel with red accents (my color) is my favorite.  It fits as a carry on in the overhead bin, and looks like it stepped out of a scene in the Talented Mr. Ripley.  Ready for takeoff!
