BACK FROM LA: STYLEBEAT SHOPS LA CIENEGA DESIGN QUARTER

Just back from one of my favorite design destinations, West Hollywood, LA. I can't say enough about the amazing design community there, the shopping and sense of community, not to mention the weather. I attended LCDQ Legends, where I moderated a social media panel and served as a social media ambassador. Designers created themed windows along La Cienega Boulevard, and visitors came out in droves to enjoy the many design events around the quarter. It was a great week and I can't wait for next year. Ahead, a few of the all-time great shops you need to visit when you go on an LA buying trip.

Joe Lucas recently expanded the size of his design shop Harbinger, where he represents many boutique fabric and wallpaper lines, alongside items he picks up on his global travels.

A window in Nathan Turner's shop on Melrose was an ode to Harbor Island style, with a welcoming space done by India Hicks. The coral sofa was a great way to bring in a big dose of color.

Peter Dunham's Hollywood at Home was chock a block filled with new prints and patterns alongside great furniture pieces. I loved this moment in the back of the shop, with multiple seating areas showing woven, wicker and upholstery.

If you want the best, head to Richard Shapiro. He recently opened Studiolo in a new corner location at 800 N. La Cienega Boulevard, where you can see his one of a kind over the top vintage modern pieces beautifully paired with big time antiques.

Mecox Gardens LA looking marvelous. They hosted a book signing for multiple authors.
