It seems everyone I know is either sick, has been sick, or will get sick with a nasty cold that is going around. I have fallen victim to the germs, as I too, have caught the early January cold. What a way to start 2015! If you or someone you love is out of commission, here are some beautiful basics to help get them on the path to wellness.
Being under the covers is the best place to recover and sleep till I get over the bad cold symptoms. If I do make it to the sofa, I will wrap myself in this cream cable hand knit throw from Club Monaco. It's on sale!
My cozy PJ's of choice, those by Marigot, are in heavy rotation when I am home sick. I have one's with seafans, coral, and classic white with colored piping. I love a good classic in soft cotton.
Water, water, water. Drinking a lot of it is so hard for some reason. This glass bottle encased in silicon is made by BKR and each season they come out with new colors. I think the heart is adorable, and reminds me to take care of me.
Then there is the issue of sandpaper lips. I slather on a thick salve to take care of that. I used to have this AERIN Rose Lip Conditioner that I liked a lot. Then I lost it.
I swear by Emergen-C. Maybe I got sick because I was neglecting my daily dose. I am now doing 1000 mgs of Vitamin C an hour, which seems extreme, but I think it lessens the duration of a cold.
Even though my ability to smell is compromised, I can feel transported somewhere exotic with a new Diptyque scent, 34 Le Redoute, with essences of cinnamon clove and orange
I go through a steady stream of Kleenex, so I like my tissue holder to be stylish, like this marble version from Waterworks Studio.
Cool mist or warm mist, I'm not sure which is better, but I do know moisture in the air helps to breathe easier. This Stadler Form Anton is ultrasonic and has a nice modern design that will not detract from a high design space.
This pretty much sums it up. It's how we all feel when we are under the weather, right? Ironic tray from Fish's Eddy perfect for serving tea when you are way past polite pleasantries.
