Ikat has taken hold, becoming a printed pattern deeply rooted in the firmament of design today. We see it everywhere, from pillows to tablecloths, and since it has become familiar, it has also become more diverse. Capturing the best of exotic flair, it can add a dash of global panache, or, when layered, a dose of well-travelled elan.  When I came across these ikat pointy-toed flats from British shoe designer LK Bennett, I instantly loved them, for they make an elegant statement with the print, without being too much of a good thing.
