Vintage watchers will sigh a collective sigh of relief to know that the Bermuda Bag is back in circulation, available with a custom monogram, just like the good ol' days.  I can't help but get excited when something I loved in my childhood gets re-issued. Mark and Graham, the fun brand known for their monogram offerings, recently launched their version of a Bermuda Bag, with wood handles, buttons and all. Favored for its chameleon-like ability to transform with interchangeable outfit-appropriate covers, the bag gained popularity in the 1980's as a staple among the Preppy Handbook Set.  Lilly and Pappaggalo were the go-to brands, which offered monogrammed reversible covers.  It was not uncommon to have a complete cover wardrobe, comprised of floral prints and solids. to coordinate with any outfit. My favorite? The jaunty seersucker version with 3-letter monogram, strikingly similar to the bag I owned when I was 10. Find a bright array of colors and monogram choices, available in store at the Stylebeat Shop, and carry on in style, ready to hit all the summer soirees. A preppy throwback? As a child of the 80's, I'm in.
